Motorola Vegas VE20 Photos Leaked from the FCC

Motorola Vegas VE20 has just hit the FCC hence the picture above. FCC seems to be a good dependable picture source for new Motorola handsets. This cell phone is another clamshell similar to the RAZR and the KRZR.

There are rumors according to which this Vegas phone will be released on Sprint's CDMA network. This phone won't be that expensive too. It's rather a mid range handset with very few spectacular features. It's supposed to have a 2 megapixel camera, microSD slot, touch sensitive keys, and that's about all we can figure out so far.

We'll just have to wait for the official Motorola announcement for prices and detailed specs.

Motorola V9x Phone On it's Way Soon

Here's a better Motorola RAZR like phone. The Motorola RAZR 2 V9x is an improved, better version of what we had so far when it comes to Motorola clamshell phones. Or is it the same old trick we've seen before? That's for you to decide in the future. This version is supposed to be launched by AT&T very soon according to rumors.

This quad-band will have HSDPA support, Bluetooth and GPS. You have the usual 2 megapixels camera, the microSD card slot and the USB port. Being a clamshell phone, this RAZR has two LCD screens but the external one has gotten bigger. You can follow GPS directions easily on the new screen.

The AT&T Navigator service is also rumored to be available from AT&T once the V9x is released. We're going to wait for the official release for prices and plans.

HTC NEON400 lands at FCC's door

For those looking for some CDMA action in combination with some cool TouchFLO wizardry, you might not have to wait long. HTC's NEON400, which looks to be the CDMA counterpart of the HTC Touch Dual, has come knockin' on FCC's door to undergo some pretty rigorous scrutiny before being let loose into the CDMA world. Except for the CDMA radio, nothing much looks to be changed on the inside with the same 400MHz processor, 2.6 inch touchscreen, 256MB ROM, 128MB RAM, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, and a microSD slot all running on Windows Mobile 6.1. Let's hope it comes out unscathed and ready to roll!

LG Chocolate 3 from Verizon Wireless on July 14th

There, I said it all, the next Chocolate from LG, the third version is coming to Verizon Wireless on July 14th. What more do you need? Go start a line in front of a store or something! Oh, I get it, you don't exactly like Chocolate? Not the LG kind? Let's see what LG Chocolate 3 is all about.

The first striking difference is the clamshell design. The previous models were sliders. I personally hate sliders as I end up playing with them all day long, which is quite annoying. The Chocolate 3, or the VS8560 as close friends like to call it, will be priced at $129 after $50 rebate as long as you opt in for a 2 year agreement. If you want just a 1 year agreement, the price goes up to $199 after rebate while a contract free phone costs $299.

Here's what you get for that price:

  • 1GB of internal memory,

  • microSDHC support up to 8GB,

  • 1.76" 176x220 pixel external display with navigation wheel,

  • 2.2" internal QVGA display,

  • 3.5mm headset jack,

  • 2MP camera,

  • tereo speakers,

  • Bluetooth 2.1,

  • integrated FM transmitter.

It's a must have it you like collecting those Chocolates. Otherwise it's just another LG phone!

thanks Trent.

TNT Phone from Virgin Mobile

One would expect a product that's named TNT to offer some explosions. The only thing that's going to explode is your thrill about uncovering a brand new, cool phone. The TNT isn't that new and it isn't that cool either. What is it? It's just a phone. A plain phone which will let you speak as much as you want with your friends. And that's about all that this Virgin Mobile can do for you.

If the TNT looks familiar it's because it is made by Kyocera and it's similar to the their Adreno S2400. The TNT will be released by Virgin Mobile somewhere in August and it will cost about $19.99. Yes, it's that cheap.

For that price you get phone that can offer you a Bluetooth 1.2 experience. There's voice dialing, MMS messasging, speakerphone and WAP Internet browser.

S2400 offers Bluetooth 1.2 and voice dialing. You'll also find text and multimedia messaging, basic organizer features, a speakerphone, a WAP Internet browser, voice memos, a vibrate mode, and a 500-contact phone book.

If you are followed by the police and want to get a fast phone and new number well that's when this TNT will come in handy. Or if you're just visiting the US for a couple of weeks and you are in need of a cheap pay as you go alternative. Check a Virgin Mobile store for more details.

Samsung U4 Digital Audio Player

Samsung's new digital audio player, the U4, has surfaced on a Korean Samung site. Not mush is known about the device except for what we can see on the pictures. As for its specifications, we are still in the dark and I guess we'd have to wait for further announcement by its manufacturer.

Based on the picture, we can surmise that the U4 does have a unique design for an audio player. It looks like a remote control with touch-based controls. It has a tiny display that could give users a hard time reading the small text.

Nokia 500 Auto Nav

Here's something we don't get to see everyday. Sure we have so many powerful navigation devices to count on when it comes to GPS navigation but why not try a Nokia navigation device like the Nokia 500 Auto Nav.

Here's what you will basically find on a Nokia 500 Auto Nav:

  • 4.3 inch touch screen

  • SD card slot

  • loudspeaker

  • microphone

  • 3.5mm audio jack

  • miniUSB port/charger connector

  • built-in FM transmitter

  • Bluetooth.

This satellite navigation system works partially as a phone. All you have to do is connect it to a handset via Bluetooth and make calls if you want to. Although I wouldn't want to connect to Bluetooth via a phone when I could simply do the whole calling thing from the phone itself.

It has been reported that touchscreen, browser and maps are all working flawlessly but just in case you end up hating the whole Android experience you can uninstall it and revert to the previous kernel from Nokia.

Just make sure you backed up all your previous work should anything go terribly wrong.

It's a pleasure talking about those new HP laptops especially as they keep coming in. Today we have the Puma based Compaq 6735b and 6535b models. These two business oriented laptops come with the AMD Puma platform and their basic setup will sell at $779. But let's look what else we're going to find inside.

Polaroid PoGo Instant Mobile Printer

If you miss those Polaroid moments which were so popular at a certain time, you should try the Polaroid PoGo Instant Mobile Printer. It's a perfect solution for on the go pictures. Of course quality can't be asked
for. After all it's not a regular printer, but it will get the job done.

Connect your camera via PictBridge or any device via Bluetooth to this Polaroid Instant Mobile Printer and go printing. You wil get a 2 by 3 inch photo in about 2 minutes or so. You can take about 15 pictures on a fully charged battery and it costs $150. You will have to pay $10 for a 30 sheets pack and off you go printing.

There's no ink needed to print those pictures. This device uses a Zero Ink technology or ZINK. If you aren't familiar with it here's how it works. The paper has clear dye crystals embedded into it which is activated by heat. This is how images will be later formed in printers like the Polaroid PoGo. The paper includes a polymer at the exterior which will protect the images and give that traditional photo feeling.

The Polaroid PoGo Instant Mobile Printer is attractive for what it can do. It's a "look what I have" kind of gadget which could use more improvement for better picture quality. Try it while traveling if you have the chance to get your hands on one; it should be fun.
